The Francis Ermatinger House is Oregon City's oldest home. Built in 1845  this house is said to be home to several spirits. The Ermatinger House is located just a few blocks from the John McLoughlin House at 6th and John Adams St.

Dr. John McLoughlin and his wife's graves have been moved twice from their original burial location on Main Street in Oregon City. It is for this reason that many believe the McLoughlin’s spirits are still so unsettled.

The McCown House on Jefferson St. is still inhabited by the spirits of the original owner and his daughter; both of them died in the home in the 1800s and were buried at Oregon City's Mt. View Cemetery.

From the McLoughlin Promenade you can see where the history of the west was born. It all took place here in Oregon City, from the naming of Portland to the plat map filing of San Francisco, the first capital of Oregon and the first long distance power transmission of electricity in the United States.

"Hi Rocky…  I’m not sure if William mentioned my name to you but I went on the Halloween ghost tour with a friend in his group.  I truly, truly enjoyed his story-telling and wonderful tour!"

"We took the walk with the spirits tour last week and loved it! Not only was it informative and fascinating, but the tour guide is extremely knowledgeable regarding local history and also respectful of his subject. Many times we felt the strong presence of spirits and heard things we still can't really explain. Oregon City is a fascinating place, full of legends and rich with stories that make this tour a must do while in the area!"

Jon and Dyan McClure

"Rocky’s a fantastic guide; his first-hand knowledge and experiences with historic places throughout the Portland area come to life as he tells his stories. The history of these places, combined with the haunting tales, have me highly recommending this tour."

"If you're not sure if this tour is worth it, don't fear. It's not only really fun but you will learn a lot about Oregon's history. Rocky seems to know just about everyone in Oregon City - dead or alive! You won't be disappointed. We need more people like Rocky who care to keep the oral history of our communities alive."
