I have to say three things occurred during our time that day of the tour in Oregon City. Earlier in the day we were on a tour up in the Mcloughlin house with the ranger there. We went in the back door from the street, and moved across the house to the original front door where the ranger was showing us pictures of how the house was moved up the hill, and as we were listening, there was a noise back behind us. It was back by the original door he had brought us in. Later I asked my brother if he had heard it and he said he thought it was from a chair by the door. It sounded like a small metal object dropping down to the floor maybe a couple of feet. If it came from the chair, no one was anywhere by it. We all were 20-25 feet away from that area.  I didn't notice the chair, but maybe it wasn't set properly and maybe it just resettled itself. Or was it something in the house telling us that it was there? I don't know if there is any activity in that house or not. Now later on that day when we went on the lower Oregon City tour with William, there is something else that occurred. As William was leading us through that pedestrian tunnel, I could feel my lower legs feeling very heavy. My upper legs did not feel that way, but as we walked through the tunnel it felt like it was harder to walk. What hit me was that AFTER we got to the other end of the tunnel, William mentioned something about someone saying it felt like walking through jello to them I believe another time...I thought to myself, WOW...that could be how it felt to me too, or I was thinking it felt as I would imagine slogging through water or mud up to the knees...the feeling of wanting to move your feet faster, but can't without a lot more effort.  As I was moving through the tunnel I was looking down at the floor as I was walking and it just felt like the tunnel was becoming smaller or closing in kind of around me. Just a weird feeling for me. The last thing that I felt as a feeling was that tingling feeling that occurs up and down your spine when you get real excited about something. As we where starting the walking tour up the street this feeling hit me as I started thinking about how I could be walking in the exact same steps that my ancestors made along the same exact street when they lived and worked there 100 and more years ago.

One of my favorite stops we made along the tour was the bridge (or in this case under the bridge) before he had told us about the shadows I was looking back and I thought I saw a shadow on the right hand side about three feet from the ground.

I took my husband to the Mcloughlin house this past Sunday to show him the face on the tree of John McLaughlin and I noticed another face to the right of the moss. Although, my husband couldn't see it, both my son and I could see it clearly. Have you ever noticed this before? It looks like a clear picture of a man. I can see the outline of the right side of his head, eyes nose and what looks like a straight mouth. Am I just seeing things or have you noticed this? Also, the night we went on the tour we heard a voice by the elevator, do you think it was Carl Green? The voice we heard by the elevator was heard by everyone on the tour, I only heard it twice and my 14 year old daughter said she heard it a few times before the rest of us. It was kind of a faint yelling. Rocky wasn't sure what it was but seemed very surprised.

You know how you sometimes didn't say anything when things would happen like when you were cold?? So, when we were on that back trail looking over the mini cliff thing over looking the mill... You were talking and I heard like a old bike sound?? Like the wheels going when you don't pedal? I turned around to see if anyone was there so I could move out of the way and no one was there... Then the next stop you were talking and I felt someone pulling on my hair. It just kind of itched where it felt like it had been touched. Then I put up my hood and kept it up for the rest of the night. Maybe that spirit you think is Carl Green had something to do with this...  So have you heard anything about a bike?  It happened when you were talking about the McLoughlin House. Also I don’t know if this is weird or I’m just crazy but I felt a sense of warmness when we were standing around the grave of Dr. McLoughlin and his wife’s grave... I'm guessing because it kind of seemed like he was a very kind and loving man...

We took the walk with the spirits tour last week and loved it! Not only was it informative and fascinating, but the tour guide is extremely knowledgeable regarding local history and also respectful of his subject. Many times we felt the strong presence of spirits and heard things we still can't really explain.

I highly recommend this tour & will definitely do it again. Even witnessed an 'event' with steam coming out of a chimney that goes nowhere in a house that isn't inhabited, at least by anyone that we can see.

So, at the end of our tour last night, which ended at the Ermantinger House, It was dark, and there was just a regular shadow on the house from the bushes and everything. Then Rocky started to talk about the Steam Boat Captain. I was looking in the window on the left side of the house, when something in the corner of my eye changed. I looked at the wall next to the window and there was a shadow of, what I would say is a stereotypical steam boat captain. He was tall man with a captain’s hat. It stood out against the other shadows because it was much, much darker. I looked around to make sure it wasn't any one else's shadow, all of our shadows were pointing up 6th street, basically perpendicular the shadow I saw against the house. The shadow also did not move when a car came by with it's headlights on. It disappeared after Rocky was done talking about how the Captain and April kind of try to make sure they're being mentioned.

Colleen believes she brought a small child home with us Saturday. It knocked Bens’ shaving cup onto the floor this morning.

I will leave it to the other members who attended to tell what they experienced during this walk. For myself I will need to go back to one of the houses and see if I can cause the shadow I saw in the window of the house to appear.
