Comments:(in continuation of my previous post)...My friend felt her bag getting tugged on while we were under the bridge. It felt so much like something her 3 year old daughter would do, (who wasn't with us at the time) that she was about to tell her daughter to stop it as it was very distracting. I can't recommend these tours enough! I am looking forward to the upcoming 2012 season when two non-ghost tours will be added. One an OC film location tour, the other an art mural tour. I'm sure they will be just as awesome!

Comments:I have been on Rocky & William's tours several times now...and each time it seems I always learn something new! Both Rocky & William are fabulous guides with a tremendous amount of knowledge about Oregon City! Listening to their stories has made me fall in love with Oregon City and very proud to call it my home! You definitely don't have to be a believer of the paranormal to enjoy the tours. I brought my very skeptical dad on one and he had a great time! He loved hearing about the history and had learned a lot! It seems like someone always has an experience that is unexplainable on the tours though...most of them taking place either in the tunnel or under the bridge. My son has seen shadows & I felt my sweater getting tugged on before. We recently took a tour of downtown, and down under the bridge my friend felt her bag getting tugged on. She was just standing there listening intently to Rocky when her bag started moving. It felt so much like something her 3 year old daughter (who wasn

Comments:My fiance and I came to Oregon City for the first time last Halloween. We fell in love instantly and devised a plan to move here from Vancouver about six months later. One of things we loved about Oregon City was its history, and we waited anxiously for the 2011 tour season to begin. After taking both the Downtown and McLoughlin tours, we came away even more in love with our fine city. I have a healthy interest in the paranormal, but even if these tours contained zero ghost stories, they would be worth the time just to absorb all of the great history. It's amazing to think of all things that have happened in our own backyards that we probably don't ever think about. Both Rocky and William are knowledgable about the area and their passion for the history and locations is obvious. They use that passion to insure that everyone has an informative and enjoyable tour. I can't recommend taking these tours enough! As for the ghosts, well, we had some weird experiences that weren't imm

Comments:Well played gentlemen. Well played. What a fabulous tour! Rocky & William did such an awesome job. It's obvious that both of you have done so much research in Oregon City and it was so impressive! We had a great time and can't wait to go for another jaunt! We'll be back for seconds...maybe thirds...or even fourths?

Comments:Hey Rocky! I took your tour with a bunch of my friends and I have to say it was so exciting! I absolutely love listening to you speak, you give your stories so much detail you are so easy to listen to. The places you took us to were all so beautiful, and hearing your stories made me look at those seemingly harmless locations in a whole different perspective! Thinking that this is the first tour since October I assumed there would be nothing going on. I was so incredibly wrong!! Something about Rocky makes our little town of Oregon City misbehave! As we walked down the sidewalk along the bluff, the lights kept flickering. At first I thought it was just coinsidence until I realized as the we went on the downtown tour that it was happening everywhere Rocky went! It was really interesting. Another experience me and my friend Danika had when we went through the tunnel and standing at the bottom of the cliff at the downtown tour when we both got stomach pains. It was both like a queasy sto

Comments:I had two heart pumping and all around FREAKY experiences on the tour. It was all more an imfomative, learning about out history/ ghot story thing until we went down town. We went under the bridge and evrything was heavy. It was a feeling like someone didn't want us there. If they could talk they would have been saying "Leave NOW!!!". My legs were shaking and i felt like I was going to fall over. Then shortly after we went to this tunnel thing and it was so so so so heavey there. Me and my friend and his mom didn't go down the tunnel with the rest of the group because niether me or my friend could stand to take more than one step over the boundry. But rather than a Leave-NOW feeling it was a sort of I-don't-know-you-go-away feeling. But as soon as the group came back into the tunnel it felt fine again. I think the spirt(s) that reside there recognized the guides and felt safer with them. Also erlyer in the tour when Rocky told us about the little girl April I felt some-what connected t

Comments:We took the tour on Friday the 13th of August. William was our tour guide. The group consisted of myself, my sister, my two boys, and her two boys (teen and preteen ages). William told us of the history of Oregon City and stories of people and houses. Walking through the streets and seeing the old houses was really great. We all enjoyed it a lot. It's so important to keep the history and stories passing down from generation to generation. Williams attire and carrying the lit lantern gave it a very authentic feeling of the era. The only thing I would suggest is being able to sit down somewhere for a few minutes mid tour. Thank you so much for a great tour!

Comments:My husband and I have taken both tours and found them to be both equally enjoyable and fascinating. We found that each tour had its own area of special interest. The Downtown Tour has 2 spooky hotspots, the tunnel and the stairs leading to the Willamette River. The McLoughlin Tour features Oregon City's historical homes while incorporating an especially scary walk along the Promenade featuring ghost stories from the past, as well as the present. I would highly recommend both of these tours as they incorporate Oregon City's rich history of paranormal activities.

Comments:Thank you for the great tour!! My son and daughter loved the tour too. Usually they don't like to walk too much, but they said the time went so fast because of their great interest in what was being said. Thank you William for letting me say a few words about Thomas Chambers Howell, who was an owner with Jones in the pharmacy building. I will get my info together in the future about him, and W.D. Howell. Thanks for the interest and I will contact you as you asked. I have to say three things occured during our time that day of the tour in Oregon City. Earlier in the day we were on a tour up in the Mclaughlin house with the ranger there. We went in the back door from the street, and moved across the house to the original front door where the ranger was showing us pictures of how the house was moved up the hill, and as we were listening, there was a noise back behind us. It was back by the original door he had brought us in. I asked my brother if he had heard it and he said he thought it was from a chair by the door. It sounded like a small metal object dropping down to the floor maybe a couple of feet. If it came from the chair, no one was anywhere by it.We all were 20-25 feet away from that area. I didn't notice the chair, but maybe it wasn't set properly and maybe it just resettled itself. Or was it something in the house telling us it were there? I don't know if there is any activity in that house or not. Now later on that day when we went on the lower Oregon City tour with William, there is something else that occured. As William was leading us through that pedestrian tunnel, I could feel my lower legs feeling very heavy. My upper legs did not feel that way, but as we walked through the tunnel it felt like it was harder to walk. What hit me was that AFTER we got to the other end of the tunnel, William mentioned something about someone saying it felt like walking through jello to them I believe another time...I thought to myself, WOW...that could be how it felt to me too, or I was thinking it felt as I would imagine slogging through water or mud up to the knees...the feeling of wanting to move your feet faster, but can't without a lot more effort. As I was moving through the tunnel I was looking down at the floor as I was walking and it just felt like the tunnel was becoming smaller or closing in kind of around me. Just a weird feeling to me. The last thing that I felt as a feeling was that tingling feeling that occurs up and down your spine when you get real excited about something. As we where starting the walking tour up the street this feeling hit me as I started thinking about how I could be walking in the exact same steps that my ancestors made along the same exact street when they lived and worked there 100 and more years ago. Like I said, I enjoy learning about what and where my ancestors my have experienced during their lives, so all the info given about the town was great. Thanks again!!
